Curio App Privacy Policy

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

By installing and using the application (app), you agree to this privacy policy and give an explicit and informed consent to the processing of data and information as per the information provided below. If you do not agree, please do not install and use the app !

Non-personal Data

If our app incorporates targeted advertising, we may disclose non-personal data to third parties and/or allow third parties to collect non-personal data through their own embedded technology. In order to deliver targeted ads to you, the third-party advertising companies may place or recognize unique cookies, anonymous identifiers or similar technology for non-personally identifiable information.
Non-personal data means information that, by itself, does not personally identify you. We may collect non-personal data such as your device model number, operating system version, country code and other properties for purposes of managing the app, communicating with you, statistical analysis of app usage, as well as for targeted ad-serving.

Personal Data

We do NOT collect or share any personal data with third parties. Personal data means personally identifiable information that specifically identifies you as an individual (e.g. your name, email address).

Camera Access

The app may request access to your camera. This is for the scanning of QR codes for use by the app. Images from the camera are NOT collected by ourselves or shared with third parties.

Internet Access

The app requires access to the internet in order to retrieve requested information in response to a Text Code entry, a QR Code scan or by tapping the ‘more info…’ button.
No personal data will be sent by the app when performing any of these actions.

Location Services

The app requests the use of device location services to match your location to a venue.
Your location is NOT retained or distributed.
The app can still be used if location services are disabled or denied, by manual selection of a venue.

Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data

We disclose information to respond to court orders and other legal processes as well as to establish/exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We will share Personal data and Non-personal data in order to investigate, prevent or take action against illegal activities, suspected fraud, potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use or as otherwise required by law.
